Stuart was born April 17, 1942 in Holland to Montie and Harriet (Schurman) Emmons. He was a member of Trinity Reformed Church, a Cum Laude graduate of Hope College ('65), where he was a guest speaker in the Psychology courses for over 25 years, co-author with Craig Geiser of "Living with Schizophrenia", and served on the Board of Directors of Ladder House.
Stuart was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Craig Emmons.
He is survived by several extended family and friends.
A service of remembrance and hope will be held at Trinity Reformed Church, 712 Apple Ave, in Holland, MI on Tuesday, December 17, 10:30 AM. All are welcome.
