Minard J DeVries

Mike was a dentist for over 26 years, owning his own dental practice Dr. M. J. DeVries DDS. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving 2 tours during the Korean War. An avid hunter, and fisherman, Mike was a member of the Holland Fish and Game Club, where he served as past President along with conducting hunters safety classes and being involved in the Youth Conversation club. He was a lifetime member of Foundation Church, and was also a realtor for over 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his son, Douglas DeVries in 2019.

Mike is survived by his daughters, Nancy (John) Brown and Debra (Ken Jacoby) DeVries; 3 grandchildren, Shaun Brown, Anthony “Tony” Brown, and Jaclyn (Ben) Coy; 7 great grandchildren Ava, Stella, and Noah Brown, Annabelle (Derek) Jacobs, Ethan Brown, Wynn and Liv Coy; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A memorial service to celebrate Mike’s life will be 11:00am, Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Foundation Church, 387 W. Lakewood Blvd, Holland. A light luncheon will follow services at the church.

Burial will be in the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans Cemetery.
