Keith was born in Holland, MI and grew up in North Holland. He married Elaine Jurries, and together they raised a beautiful family. Keith enjoyed spending time with his family throughout the years, especially at the cottage he built at Upper Silver Lake. He was a hard worker and strong in his faith. He was involved with the Haiti Foundation Against Poverty and traveled to Haiti 14 times to help build Hope House and other building projects on the compound with humanitarian efforts in the community. In addition, Keith was a longtime member of Beechwood Church in Holland.
He is survived by his wife Elaine (Jurries) of 54 years, his children: Todd (Tricia) Veldheer, Suanne (Greg) Johnson, Kevin Veldheer, Kristine (Mike) Davison, Steven Veldheer and partner Alyssa. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Katelyn (Marcello) Gill, Riley (Aubree) Veldheer, Caleb Veldheer, Brandon Johnson, Leah Veldheer, Brianna Johnson, Brynn Veldheer, Cole Topham, Zander Topham, Braxton Davison, Laker Davison, Kade Davison, and great-granddaughter Stella Gill. In addition, he is survived by his sisters Delores Hop and Marcia Kamphuis, brother Karl Veldheer, Sister-in-laws Barb Batey, Sandie Groenewoud (Terry), Linda Zylstra. He has many nieces and nephews.
Services for Keith will be held at Lakeshore Memorial Services – 11939 James St. Holland, MI 49424. A visitation will take place on Friday, 12/13 from 6-8 PM and a funeral service will take place on Saturday, 12/14 at 4 PM.
