Joy Angelene Bonselaar Dozeman

Joy loved family get-togethers, entertaining, and spending time with friends. She had the gift of hospitality, and the knack for making guests feel welcomed and included. She loved beautiful music, worshipping and serving at Fairway Church, playing the marimba, and traveling throughout the world. She especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren’s theater and athletic events. This proud grandma was their biggest fan!

Joy was preceded in death by her husband, Paul W. Dozeman (2006); brother, Benjamin Bonselaar; and parents, Henry Lee and Jeanette Bonselaar. She will be missed by her children: Karen and Bill Bruinsma of Kentwood, Russ and Jill Dozeman of Bradenton, FL, and Michael and Susan Dozeman of Zeeland; 9 Grandchildren: Kevin and Stacey Bruinsma, Kyle Bruinsma, Britt Bruinsma, Megan, Luke and Troy Dozeman, Laura Dozeman, Melissa and Stephen Fogleman, and Hannah Dozeman; Brother: Garth and Myra Bonselaar of Holland; Brother and Sisters in Law: Bryan and Patricia Dozeman of Holland, Mary Camp of Springfield, IL; cousins, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

A Memorial Celebration will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 3, 2016, at Fairway Christian Reformed Church, 1165 44th Street, in Jenison. Reverend David Den Haan and Reverend Ed Tamminga will officiate. A private family burial will be in Zeeland Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Fairway Christian Reformed Church, 1165 44th Street, in Jenison.
