Jordan was baptized at Central Wesleyan Church in 2013, and attended Calvary Reformed Church. He was a 2013 graduate of Zeeland High School, where he was a member of the State Qualifying track team. He participated in cross country, 4 years on the swim team, and soccer teams over the years. Jordan was planning on starting 2 jobs the day he passed away, and was also in conversation with a recruiter to serve in the United States Navy.
He is survived by his mother, Cathrina (Boyden) Cox; father, Timothy Gillespie and Rhonda; grandparents, Jim and Sharon Gillespie, Joanne Boyden, and Robert Boyden; 2 sisters, Miryssa and Mekaylah; a brother Gabriel; stepparents, Edward and Michelle Hill; 3 aunts, Carmen and Mike Ridlington, Casey and Todd Achterhof, and Holly and Jason Sosnowski; 8 cousins and one on the way, Tyler, Steven, Erin, Tailyr, Abigail, Landon, Evan, and Hallie; many step siblings and extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Calvary Reformed Church, 995 E. 8th St., Holland. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Wednesday, from 1-3:00 and 6-8:00pm at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St., Holland and on Thursday from 10:00am until the time of the service at the church.
Jordan was sensitive and caring to all he encountered. He was a gentle spirit and one who lit up a room when he walked in. His absence will forever leave a vast hole in the hearts of his family and many friends.
