Harris was born in South Olive, and was a lifelong member of South Olive Christian Reformed Church. He attended Crisp School and graduated from Holland High School. After graduating, he proudly served his country in the Korean War. He was employed for 37 years in the maintenance department at Bohn Aluminum. On April 28, 1955, he married his sweetheart Bertha. Harris and Bertha enjoyed many years as members of the Vintage Car Club and Model T Club. He loved restoring vintage cars, tinkering in the barn, camping traditions with family, dune buggies, snowmobiles, and golf carts. Because of the example he set, his love for God, common interests with his kids and grandkids, and his determination in completing projects, he will always be our hero!
