Glenn graduated from Ann Arbor High in 1949 and joined the US Army. He completed basic training at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma and then deployed to Europe and served at several US military bases in Austria. These troops were deployed as a first response to a possible attack by the Soviet Union during the Korean War. Glenn was a sergeant in the motor pool and played on the camp baseball team in his spare time.
When Glenn returned from duty he moved back to Ann Arbor and enrolled in RETS Electronic School in Detroit. Glenn met a young Ann Arbor policewoman – Dianne Priester – and fell immediately in love with her. On August 10, 1957 the two were married, thus beginning a 57 year marriage.
Glenn began employment at Bendix Aerospace and helped design the electronic systems on the first lunar modules. Glenn also was the founding partner of Glenn Davis Associates, an executive search firm in the automotive industry.
He was a very successful youth baseball coach; served as an early Board Member of Huron Valley Lutheran High School in Westland, Michigan; and served for many years in various leadership roles as a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Ann Arbor.
Later in life, Glenn and Dianne were both members of Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Holland where Glenn led two Bible studies. Glenn also volunteered at Love, Inc in Hudsonville where he was affectionately known for his candy ministries.
Glenn was called home to Christ and reunited with Dianne at 11:50 pm on January 2nd. He was surrounded by family and loved ones who sang his favorite hymns and shared fond memories.
