Frank Thompson, age 73 of Holland, passed away on June 29, 2021. Frank served in the Air Force during the Vietnam era. After his service, he returned home and worked with Barnum Brothers in Petoskey until moving to Holland in 1978. In Holland, he worked at Ottawa Gauge for about 30 years until his retirement. In his free time, Frank was an avid history buff, reading about ancient Greece and Rome. He was a passionate Detroit Tigers fan, and spent his summer cheering on the team. He enjoyed spending time outside, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Rosalie, and a brother George. He is survived by his sons: Brian Thompson and Curt Thompson; Grandchildren Leah Thompson and Joe Thompson; Former wife Enid Hathaway; Brothers and sisters Joann Robinson, Melvin and Deb Thompson, Robert Thompson, and Patricia Brock. A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Lakeshore Memorial Services in Holland, at 11:00am. The family will greet visitors an hour prior to services.
