Dennis Dale Brouwer

Denny enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, and traveling. He and his wife Emily spent 17 winters in South Padre Island, TX where they would take their motorhome each year. Whether they were camping, cooking, or out walking, Denny never left Emily’s side. In addition, Denny was a skilled woodworker. He made countless items over the years and took pride in being able to give them to others.

As a lifelong member of North Holland Reformed Church, Denny grew to have a strong faith. Often leading others by example, he is remembered for his selfless nature, servant’s heart, and wisdom.

Denny was preceded in death by his brother Cory Brouwer, sister Rose Harvey, as well as sister-in-law Marie Brouwer and brother-in-law Elmer Arens.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Emily Brouwer; children Amy (Bruce) Veldman, Lonnie (Dianne Rife) Brouwer, and Loren Brouwer. He is also survived by four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, as well as sisters Betty Arens, Shirley (Glen) Verekee, and Judy (Peter) Weber.

A funeral service for Dennis will be held on Friday, March 28 at 11:00 AM at Lakeshore Memorial Services – 11939 James St. Holland, MI 49424. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
