Chris was an amazing person.  We had many great conversations being neighbors that impressed us for someone having such a full life.  He was always full of joy and had a smile that you knew he was very happy.  Chris will be dearly missed. We wish all his family and friends heartfelt condolences.

An uncle with great joi de vivre, laughter, unique sense of humour, strong work ethic with style and creativity! When he visited northwest Iowa in the 1950s he would give all the nieces/nephews a haircut!  When Grandma Schiebout visited him in Michigan, she would come home with a new style and rinse.  It was a great gift to see/visit with him in 2014.  He was loved by many in the diverse mosaic of creation and family of God.  His ride----top down, convertible, arm/hand waving goodbye:  "in life, in death, in life beyond death, God is with us, we are not alone, Thanks be to God."  (Creed, The United Church of Canada)
