Carol was born and raised in Grosse Pointe Park, and attended the University of Michigan, where she met her husband Bill. After college they settled in Muskegon to raise their children. Carol worked as a secretary and receptionist at Cannon-Muskegon Corp. for many years. She loved nature and the outdoors, traveling, music and the arts, and rooting for University of Michigan football and basketball. She was a member of First Congregational Church in Muskegon, and took pride in volunteering as courier and gift shop attendant for 36 years at Hackley Hospital. Carol touched many with her happiness, humor, and optimism.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband, William.
She is survived by her children Timothy and Denise Parks, Jeanne and Todd DeMint, Linda and Timothy Schnobel, 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
The family will gather privately for her memorial in the spring. Donations may be made to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society , National Alzheimer’s Association of West Michigan or a charity of your choice. Carol will be laid to rest at Roseland Park Cemetery in Berkley, MI.
