Beverly Ann Johnson

Beverly was a member of Beechwood Reformed Church. She was a bus driver for West Ottawa Schools for 25 years. This was a job she really enjoyed and a job that allowed her to make many life-long friends. During the 25 years, she was in charge of the Kindergarten bus safety program. She was very proud of the fact the she had all the students “in her arms”, as they would jump out of the back door of the bus and she would catch them. Following her retirement, she worked part time doing various duties with the transportation department and data entry at Technology Services which she really enjoyed. Beverly was a patient with the Pulmonary Rehab program at the Holland Hospital for 7 years, where she gained many wonderful friends from this great program.

Beverly was preceded in death by her father, John Nyland, and previous husband, John Teusink.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Oscar; Children: Pam Bruursema, Greg and Laurie Teusink, Jennifer Johnson and William Nachazel, Steve Johnson; Mother, Jane Nyland; Grandchildren: Matt and Katie Bruursema, Kyle and Kristen Bruursema, Cory Bruursema, Jason and Stephanie Teusink, Katie Teusink, Gayle Skiles, David Skiles, Ryan Johnson; Great-grandchildren: Payton and Zachary Teusink, Braydon Skiles;

Brother: Warren and Mary Lou Nyland; Many in-laws, nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be 11:00am, Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Beechwood Reformed Church, 895 Ottawa Beach Road, in Holland. Rev. Dawn Vagle will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 6-8:00pm Monday, February 9 at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James Street, in Holland.

Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Holland.
