Bertha was born September 6, 1938 in Los Indios, Texas to Rev. Jose and Paula (Gonzalez) Perez. She was a member of Northpoint Assembly of God. Bertha was a licensed Home Day Care provider for over 30 years.
She is survived by her husband Lazaro of 61 years; children Yolanda (Johnny) Vega, and Lazaro De Leon III (Perla De Leon); Grandchildren, Samuel Vega, Victoria De Leon, Valerie De Leon, and Emanuel De Leon; Siblings, Rev. Eleazar Perez, Dora (Pete) Garcia, Eva De Leon, Rebecca Leal, Ruth (William) Salas, Rev. Jose (Yolanda) Perez; many extended family and friends.
A funeral service to celebrate Bertha’s life will be 11:00am Thursday, September 1, 2022 at First Assembly of God, 1331 E. 16th St., Holland. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 31, from 7-9pm at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St., Holland with visitation Thursday from 10:00am until the time of the service at First Assembly Church.
