Alvin "Al" James Bareman

Alvin “Al” Bareman, 84, peacefully went to be with his Savior Jesus on Monday, February 5, 2018. Al attended Real Life Fellowship Church and worked many years at Herman Miller. He enjoyed spending time at Sandy Pines with family and friends, playing golf and other activities. At home he looked forward to playing shuffle board and cards with friends each week.

Al was preceded in death by his sisters Elizabeth Bareman and Marge Guikema. He is survived by his wife Dorothy, to whom he was married for 59 years, son Ken Bareman of Holland, son Dave (Sally) Bareman of West Olive, son Tim (Roxanne) Bareman of Jamestown, grandchildren Torry (Rudy) Alfaro, Chad (Ania) Bareman, Jaycob Bareman (Leah), Andrea (Chad) Czyzewicz, Ryan Bareman, Alisa Bareman, great-grandchildren Seraiah, Josiah, Jena, Armani, and Tye. Brothers and sisters, Egbert Bareman, Lorranne (Larry) Eding, John (Gloria) Bareman, Carol (Vern) Kragt, and Phyllis Dyke.

A service to celebrate Al’s life will be 11 a.m. Thursday, February 8, 2018, at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James Street, Holland, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Also visitation 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, at Lakeshore Memorial. Interment will be at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Holland. Memorial contributions in Al’s honor may be made to the American Heart Association or Healing the Children Michigan.
