Hard-working, her whole life, she worked in agriculture and in various factories such as Sara Lee. She enjoyed flowers, plants, sewing embroidery, crocheting, cleaning, and cooking. She used these talents to regularly bless others.
As health issues limited her movement, she shared her favorite TV show Gunsmoke with every family member that stopped by to visit. Alicia also had a special bond with her many grand-dogs that she adored. Above all, Alicia was a good wife, loving mother and caring grandmother who did whatever she could to support her family.
Fiercely independent; Alicia always put the needs of others before herself.
She maintained strong values throughout her life, and did not hesitate to stand up for others when they were in need.
When the time came for her to receive help due to her health; she did not want to be a burden to her family however, as we all discovered, she was a blessing to us all whether healthy or ill.
Even though Alicia endured a difficult life with many hardships, she remained strong in her faith, and continued to turn to the Lord in times of need.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fermin De Jesus Sr.; children Norma Linda Martinez, Joey Martinez, Albert Martinez, Maria Teresa Martinez, and Mickey Martinez. She was also preceded by grandchildren Melisa Martinez and Jose Martinez.
