Alan Jay Vander Hulst, age 68 of West Olive, passed away on August 16, 2019.
Alan worked as a hilo driver for many years for Prince and later Johnson Controls. He enjoyed taking his dogs for walks, studying genealogy, and attending concerts. He had a love for astronomy and stargazing, even naming one of his dogs after his favorite constellation.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Clarissa Faber and Jason Vander Hulst, and a nephew Ricky Savage.
He is survived by his sisters:
Judy Pardon,
Karen (Dean) Wiseman,
Kristi Zuverink,
Brenda (Todd Chichester) McEnroe;
Many nieces and nephews.
Burial has taken place at Restlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made out to the American Cancer Society.
