Mrs. Wilma Brown Fussell

Wilma Brown Fussell, 89, of Chattanooga passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 in a local hospital.

Wilma was the daughter of parents, Silas Samuel Brown and Nora Blackwell Brown. She was the fourth child of eleven siblings and they were raised in East Brainerd.

Wilma and her husband were charter members of the St. Luke United Methodist Church. She was a wife, mother, and homemaker dedicated to providing a home and raising three children. She volunteered as a Pink Lady at Erlanger North and gave of her time to help at the Chattanooga Community kitchen.

She was preceded in death by Charles C. Fussell, her husband of 52 years; her daughter, Linda F. (Mrs. Phil) Wallace; brothers, L.J. Brown, and James Brown; sisters, Christine B. Cotter Miller, and Sue B. Ferguson.

She is survived by her loving children: son, Dr. Charles S. Fussell and wife Judy of Chattanooga; daughter, Susie Sellers and husband Tommy of East Brainerd. Four grandchildren: Linda F. Blythe and husband Dr. William of Auburn, Alabama; Morgan F. Love and husband Scott of Greensboro, North Carolina; Charles Samuel Fussell, Jr. of Chattanooga, and Kodi Worley of East Brainerd. Four great grandchildren: Kelsey and Coley Blythe; Avery and Jackson Love. Four brothers: Paul (Carole) Brown; Bill (Catherine) Brown; Donald (Patty) Brown; Bob (Nancy) Brown; two sisters: Norma B. (Ben) Wine, and JoAnn B. (Rex) Gibbs; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at the North Chapel with Rev. Dr. Cynthia Thompson officiating.

Interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM today, Friday, August 27, 2010 at the North Chapel.
