Willie (Depew) Hair, 91, of Soddy Daisy and formerly of Lee County VA, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2013. She was born July 25, 1921 in Rose Hill, Virginia, daughter of the late Mack C. and Mary Ann Shell Depew.
Willie was retired from Tennessee Valley Authority and a member of Pilgrim Congregational United Church of Christ, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and State & Local Historical Societies.
Willie was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin “Red” Hair, sisters, Eva Depew Hall, Lillie Depew Burgan, Elizabeth M. Depew, brothers, Edward Depew, Homer Depew.
Willie is survived by her brothers, Charles and Ray Depew, sister-in-law, Eva (Langley) Depew, numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 21 at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 pm, Friday, March 22th, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, with Dr. David Brown officiating.
Burial will be in the Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
