William Arthur Edwards, Jr., 80, of Chattanooga went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 20, 2022. He passed away unexpectedly at home. He served the Chattanooga area as an optician for over 50 years. He was a member of the Tennessee Army National Guard for six years. Mr. Personality loved people,
country music, being humorous, and encouraging others with his positivity and wisdom. However, his greatest life legacy was his family.
Survived by: wife of 57 years, Phyllis Hackney; daughters, Kimberly (Vincent) Bowman and Tiffany Edwards; grandchildren, Carmen (Kris) Hall, Cade (Marisa) Sterling, and Chapel Shortt;
great-grandchild, Baylor Hall; sister, Reba Gann; and niece, Angela (Mike) Farmer.
Family and friends will assemble at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel, 5401 Highway 153 Hixson, TN for visitation from 12:00-3:00 on Saturday, October 29, 2022 with a celebration of life following at 3:00.
