Willard Nathan Lewis, 87, of Chattanooga passed away on October 21, 2017. He worked at Combustion Engineering for thirty eight years and served in the Army during the Korean War. Willard was a member of Alpine Baptist Church for fifty-two years and also led the music at church for several years. He was an avid motorcyclist and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Baumgartner; father, Chester Lewis; wife, Kathleen Lewis and brother, Kenneth Vance Lewis.
He is survived by his sons, Gregory (Lori) Lewis and Jeff (Susan) Lewis; grandchildren, Hayley Lewis, Ashlyn Lewis, Landon Lewis, Drew Lewis and Max Lewis; sisters, Bernice McClendon, Thelma Potter and Jayna Gravitt; brothers, Granville Lewis, Lowell Lewis and Larry Lewis.
A visitation will be held on Monday, October 23, 2017 from 4 pm to 7 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 from 12 pm to 1 pm with a funeral service to follow after at 1 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Fowler officiating.
