Troy was born on March 31, 1925 in La Fayette, GA to Fred and Mamie Howard.
In 1941, he went into the Navy and served in World War II, on a Cargo Gunner on Merchant ship. His compassion heart, faithful service and humble sprit have been encouraging to many people during his life. Troy retired form Lovemans as a manager.
He was dedicated to his volunteer work with Hamilton County Baptist Association St. Elmo Mission Troy enjoyed gardening and was a life long member of the Lions Club
Troy is preceded in death by his first wife Evelyn Stone Wilson; parents Fred and Mamie Lou Wilson; sister Dorthy Debord ; brother Charlie ( Dub)
Troy is survived by his wife Shirley Moon Wilson of 16 years ;
His nephews Jerry(Nancy) Debord ,David (Bobbie) Debord, Randy (Debbie) Wilson; niece Debbie (Chuck) Harris, Teresa (John) Cannon
Several great nephews and nieces
Four step daughters Cheryl Evans , Sharon ( Tim) Chapman, Holly (Brian) Cross and Karma ( Tom) Watson
Seven great grandchildren and Five great great grandchildren
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 21, 2013 from 5 -7 at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel
Funeral Service will be Monday, April 22, 2013 at 10 am in the Funeral Home Chapel
With Rev. David McNabb officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens
