Tracy Eugene Stone, age 87, of Chattanooga died Friday, June 1, 2012. He was born June 27, 1924 in Houston, Texas to the late Tracy Eugene Stone, Sr. and Bernice Green Stone Salling. He was preceded in death by his brother Edwin Emory Stone.
He was a charter member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. He was a U. S. Army Air Corps veteran serving during World War II. He worked for Byrne and Company and then for Business Products Center.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years Kathryn Stewart Stone; daughters Phyllis (Robert) Dodd and Melissa (Mike) Donnelly; granddaughter Shannon Dodd Willbanks and a grandson Alex Tracy Stone Donnelly; a great granddaughter Koren and great grandson Tucker; sister-in-law Christie Anderson; daughter by choice Trudy Dobson and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday June 6, at 11:00 in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4-7 at the Funeral Home.
