Tom “Teedmo”, and his brother James “Jim” Morgan both retired from the U. S. Navy and served their country well. He retired from Norfolk Southern and worked for First Tennessee Bank. His love, humor and spirited soul will be missed by family, friends and those that crossed his path. Tom was a member of Cross of Calvary Church. Heaven – have plenty of black coffee!
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Wesley Morgan and Georgia Lucille Morgan; brother, John Farrell Morgan; daughter-in-law, Nikki Morgan.
Tom is survived by his wife and sweetheart of 60 years, Mary Ann Morgan, who loved her husband dearly and supported him until his passing. These two were married young but faithfully loved, dreamed and conquered life together having four sons; Thomas Wesley Morgan, III (Oy), Steven Everett Morgan (Elina), Kenneth Farrell Morgan, Sr. (Jennifer) and Gregory Scott Morgan – who will miss their dedicated father. There are 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; brother, James “Jim” Morgan; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 pm on Monday, November 4 and 1 to 2:30 pm on Tuesday, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life service for Tom will follow at 2:30 pm on Tuesday at the North Chapel with Minister Kenneth Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with military honors.
