He was a graduate of North Carolina State University and had his degree in Electrical Engineering.
Tom was a US Navy veteran of World War II. After his service, he was employed by the Tennessee Valley Authority for over 40 years, and retired in 1987 as Manager of Hydro Operations.
He was a long standing member of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church on Signal Mountain, and was most recently a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church.
Tom was active in his community as a devoted Boy Scout Leader, member of Signal Mountain Masonic Lodge # 758 F&AM, as well as many other community activities.
He was an avid gardener and world traveler, having traveled to Africa many times to enjoy the wildlife. Tom also enjoyed fishing, playing tennis, entertaining, and square dancing.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; Tollie F. and Julia Fowler Faulkner, of Henderson, NC; his wife of 35 years and mother of his two daughters, Sarah Taylor Faulkner, and his wife of 23 years, Betty Jones Faulkner.
He is survived by his two daughters; Sarah Faulkner (Wayne) Anthony, and Gabriella Lynn (Tim) Crossen, granddaughter; Dr. Taylor Davies (Dr. Eric) Martin, step sons; Randy (Kim) Jones, and Danny Jones.
The family requests memorials be made to a favorite charity of your choosing, in lieu of flowers.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 18, 2022 at Chattanooga Memorial Park (The Duck Pond), with Rev. Evelyn Harris officiating.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
