Taunya Christie Stalyon

Taunya was born in Mount Clemens Michigan and grew up in Hixson, TN. She was loved by her large family and immense number of friends. She had a heart of gold and would do anything for her family and friends, never putting herself first. She loved camping, cooking, crafting, music, and was a rising student at Miller-Mott College. She was so proud of her boys and grandchildren. She was a mentor to many and will be missed by all.

Taunya was preceded in death by her loving son Hunter Steven Stalyon whom she loved and missed with all her heart. She is survived by her loving sons Mikey Stalyon (Sheyenne Sullivan), Kyle Stalyon, Jacob Stalyon (Breiana Young), her loving brother Nathaniel Lafriniere (Amelia), sisters Mae & Michal Guthman, her loving mother Cheryl Studier-Guthman (Billy), father Michael Lafriniere (Matt). Grandchildren Avelynn Stalyon, Jacob Hays Stalyon, Hunter Hope Stalyon, Emma & Lyla Stalyon, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home in Hixson on Sunday, October 16, 2022. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at the North Chapel. Service will be held at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local mental health charity of choice.
