Steven Lee Wright

Steven graduated from the McCallie School in 1982 and attended the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa where he became a lifelong fan of the Tide. He loved reading books, watching movies, listening to music, but his passion in life was cooking. Steven held numerous admirable culinary positions throughout his career in Chattanooga. As a father, son, brother, and loyal friend, he shared his love through cooking meals and baking desserts for them. Steven cherished spending any time he could with his daughter Samantha and his four-legged best friend, Cleo. He was a member of the Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church and valued spending time with our Lord. He will best be remembered for his faith, generosity, warmth, and kind-heartedness.

Steven is survived by his daughter, Samantha Wright, mother, Barbara Wright, sister, Kelly (Chuck) Boaz, and a whole host of special lifelong friends.

Steven is preceded in death by his father, Edward Wright Sr., and brother, Edward Wright Jr. (Woody).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cooking Matters, PO Box 715475, Philadelphia, PA 19171-5475, or a charity of your choice.

Visitation will be held at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel on Monday, September 25th, from 12 pm to 1:30 pm with the service to follow. The burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens following the service.

Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
