A dedicated lifelong Atlanta Braves fan, he was working for Astec Industries performing as an CAD help desk technician. Stephen loved cars, especially his 1968 Mercury Cougar & his Toyota Tacoma; Motorcycles (one of his favorites was a 1983 Honda 350); and visiting Cades Cove and the Smoky Mountains. He was a wonderful, loving, supportive husband, son, son-in-law, brother, and friend to everyone he met.
Stephen is preceded in death by his father, Homer (Bud) Dobbs; paternal grandparents, Carthell Dobbs, Joyce Dobbs, and Mattie Shipp Dobbs; maternal grandparents, Clarence and Mattie McSpadden; several aunts and uncles; and his fur baby, Biscuit.
He is survived by his wife and soulmate, Jessica Miller-Dobbs; mother, Brenda Dobbs; siblings, Christy Dobbs-Leffew (Brian) and Clarence H. Dobbs (Kim); parents-in-law, Ron & Nancy Baumer; brother-in-law, Josh Baumer (Jennifer); nieces and nephews, Derick, Drew (Mercee), Brett, Jessica (Brett) and Catie (Corey); his fur baby, Chloe; uncle, Neil McSpadden; aunt Laura Hancock; and friends and family.

A visitation for Stephen will be held Friday, December 13, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel, 5401 Highway 153, P.O. Box 9, Hixson, TN 37343. A funeral service will occur Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Calvin Nunley and Pastor Stephen Brackett officiating. A committal will follow the funeral service at Hamilton Memorial Gardens, 5351 TN-153, Chattanooga, TN 37343.
