He was a graduate of Chattanooga Valley High School, Dalton Junior College, and Covenant College. Scott was an active member of Abba’s House, Kairos Prison Ministry, Deacon, and an original member of Crazy Love Sunday School. Scott was working in Restoration Recovery. He was very actively involved in Soddy Daisy High School Athletics (volleyball, baseball, football). Scott was quick-witted, funny and crazy, loved his puns and was a striving comedian (all dad jokes). He was an animal whisperer for all creatures.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thelma and Wert Parrish; and grandmother, Maggie Esta Paul Dean.
Scott is survived by his wife, Jennifer Armas Dean; son, Joseph Dean; daughter, Julia Dean; parents, Aaron and Sharon Dean; sisters, Lisa (Mike) Carruth, and Lori (Doug) Walker; nieces and nephews, Justin (Carly) Carruth, Addi Kate and Cohen Carruth, Katie Carruth, Tiffany (Scott) Walters, Scarlet Walters; in-laws. Linda and Dr. Ferdie Armas, Anna (Bobby) Bennett, Josh and Will Bennett, Franchesca (Chris) Jones, and Ginger Armas.
At this time, due to COVID, no visitation will be held.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
Private graveside services for the family will be held on Saturday, August 28, at Chattanooga Valley Baptist Church Cemetery in Flintstone, GA with Reverend John Jaques officiating.
