He was a member of Hixson First Baptist Church. He retired from DuPont after 40 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Marshall; parents Frank and Golden Marshall; three sisters, Gladys Marshall, Louise Puett, and Thelma Norton; two brothers, Glen Marshall and Guinn Marshall.
Survivors include daughters and son in laws; Becky and Steve Fryar, Leslie and Dave Mullican; grandchildren, Grant (Bri) Fryar, Ben Fryar, Jake Fryar, Clint Mullican, Drew Mullican; great grandchild, Ethan Fryar, brother, Robert Marshall.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 8, 2013 at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Rev. Terry Shannon officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to International Mission Board in care of Hixson First Baptist Church.
