Mr. Ralph Freeman Jr, 87, of Signal Mountain, TN passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Erlanger Hospital. Ralph was born in Elizabethton, TN on April 26, 1929 to parents, Ralph Freeman Sr. and Beulah (Liner) Freeman. Ralph was a US Army veteran and served during the Korean War. He was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Red Bank for over 25 years. He was an avid golfer. He was a loving husband to his wife and a wonderful father to his 2 children. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents as well as his first wife, Kathleen Dunlap Freeman, sisters, Irene Elliot and Mary Bateman, and brother, Sam Freeman. Survivors include his wife, Nadine Freeman; son, Jeffrey Freeman of Chattanooga, TN; daughter, Melissa Rollins of Chattanooga, TN; grandson, Zachary Rollins; brother, J.W. Freeman and wife, Lois of San Diego, CA; brother, Patrick Freeman and wife, Georgia of Johnson City, TN; brother, Eugene Freeman and wife, Jean of Elizabethton, TN; brother, Wayne Freeman and wife, Tonyia of Elizabethton, TN; sister, Betty Greer of N. Augusta, SC; and several nephews and nieces. The family will receive friends at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel on Monday, August 8th from 4 to 7 pm and Tuesday, August 9th from 10:30-11:30 am. Funeral service will be in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 11:30 am with Rev Dwight Martin and Rev Tom McGuirt officiating. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors. Pallbearers include Jeffrey Freeman, Zachary Rollins, Brian Dinse, Jonathan Hobbs, Tyler Hobbs, and Jarrod Hobbs. For those who wish, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to your favorite ministry or charity in lieu of flowers.
