He had lived most of his life in the Chattanooga area and was of the Baptist Faith.
He was retired from DuPont after 40 years of service.
Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Yvette Hardeman, and a daughter, Susan Malone.
He is survived by two sons; Jerry (Hilda) Hardeman and Mickey (Vickie) Hardeman both of Soddy Daisy; six grandchildren, Michael (Christina) Hardeman, David (Jean) Hardeman, Eric (Lori) Hardeman, Jennifer Hardeman, Matt (Mary) Malone and Erin (Olivier) D’Ornano; two great grandsons, Thomas and Ian Hardeman; and special friend, Pat Bagley.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday and 1:30 until 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the North Chapel.
Funeral services for Ed will be held 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Turner officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
