Patricia Ann Thurman, 67, of Hixson passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2013. Ann was a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a math teacher at Ooltewah Middle School for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie D. and Margaret Deane Sweat.
Survivors include her husband of 39 years, James Ronald Thurman; her daughter Shelly (Bill) Crum of Soddy Daisy, TN; her son Brian (Amy) Thurman of Brentwood, TN; two grandsons, Brady Thurman and Baylor Thurman; sisters Janet (Roy) Long of Hodgenville, KY and Jane (Dennis) Brock of Brentwood, TN; brother Danny (Joyce) Sweat of Lyons, GA and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Tuesday, Feb. 12 and 10 AM-11:30 AM Wednesday, Feb. 13 at the North Chapel of the Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM Wednesday, Feb. 13, at the North Chapel of the Chattanooga Funeral Home with Dr. Richard Mason officiating.
Graveside services will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chattanooga Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
