Patricia Swanson Reed

Pat attended LaFayette High School before continuing her education at Jacksonville State University. She became a Radiologic Technologist and retired from Erlanger Medical Center in 2012. She was a life member and officer of the TN Society of Radiologic Technologists.

She was a faithful Christian and passionate about serving the Lord and her church, Red Bank Baptist. Pat was a Sunday school teacher and volunteered often for different ministries throughout the church. She cherished the lifelong friendships made in her adult Sunday school class.

Pat was a most loving mother and grandmother. Nothing made her happier than spending time with her grandchildren; they were the light of her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harley and Luna Swanson and sister-in-law, Linda Swanson. Pat leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Karmon (Jeff) West, Jennifer (Brian) Haley; her brother, Joe (Aleen) Swanson; her beloved grandchildren, Claire West and Reed West; as well as her nephews, David Swanson, Daniel Swanson and niece, Dawn Wright.

A celebration of life for Patricia will be held Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel, 5401 Highway 153, P.O. Box 9, Hixson, TN 37343.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, or Hearth Hospice.
