Nicholas Richard Bayman, went to be with the Lord after a short battle with cancer. He was married to Billie Sue Bayman (Née Bustle) for more than 38 years until her passing. He then married Kitty Kirby Bayman for the remaining part of his life. He was the brother to James L Bayman (Reita) and William Bayman. He was the stepfather to Jennifer Ritter (Florida) and Mary Jo Braun (California). His wife Kitty, stepdaughters and grandchildren, Allison Ritter, Rachael Ritter and Christian Ritter survive him. Nicholas, son of Margaret Myer and Lowell Bayman, was born and raised in Greenville, Ohio, but later moved to Dayton where he spent most of his adult life. He attended the University of Dayton. Nicholas had a real love of flying and became a private pilot and went on to get his commercial pilot’s license. Nicholas was an engineer at Systems Research Laboratories. Nicholas formed his own company in 1984, NRB Engineering, where he had many contracts with the US government. He was also the founder and president of Bayman Diversified Real Estate. He later moved to Chattanooga with his wife Kitty.
Nicholas was a proud veteran of the US Navy from 1952-1962 served aboard the USS Canberra CAG-2 and USS KIDD DD-661. He was a Master Mason in Lodge 774 Dayton, Ohio; 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason; member of the Antioch Shriners (Dayton, Ohio); member of the Kentucky Colonels and a member of the First Centenary United Methodist Church.
A graveside service for Nicholas will be held Friday, February 9, 2024 at 12:30pm at the Chattanooga National Cemetery, 1200 Bailey Avenue, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37404. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Dayton Shriners.
