Meriem Teixeira, 90, of Chattanooga, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2012.
Meriem was a native of Riverdale, Michigan and a longtime resident of the Chattanooga area. She was a former PE teacher and retired from the California School System. Meriem was a very talented artist and loved painting.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clair and Eva Holland Sturdevant.
Meriem is survived by her nieces, Judith Bergh and Pat Stitzel.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
Graveside services will be held at 11 am on Friday, August 31, at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist.
