Mary Carmen Stangarone

A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area. She attended St. Jude Catholic School and was a 2004 graduate of Notre Dame High School. She was also a graduate of UTC in 2008, the University of Tennessee’s College of Social Work in 2010 where she received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work.

She was employed as a Clinical Social Worker with Cherokee Health Systems.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Carmen and Antonio Castillo; Paternal grandparents, John and Mary Stangarone.

Survivors include her loving parents, Richard and Maria Stangarone; brother, Thomas (Robin) Stangarone; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Catholic Church; American Cancer Society at: donate3.cancer.org or to Hospice of Chattanooga at: hospiceofchattanooga.org.

A private memorial service for the family will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 2021 at St. Jude Catholic Church with Father Charles Burton officiating.

Interment will follow at 1:30 pm in Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 5401 Highway 153.
