Mrs. Owensby was a member of White Oak Baptist Church for over 65 years. She was an LPN for Memorial Hospital and Parkwood Nursing Home, and most recently, the nurse for Baylor School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Kenneth Owensby; grandson, Richie Adams and son-in-law, Rick Adams.
Survivors include her children, Kathy Adams of Soddy Daisy, TN and Keith (Deidre) Owensby of Falling Water, TN; grandson, Logan (Stephanie) Owensby and great-grandson, Liam of Hixson, TN; sisters, Shirley (Gene) Cantrell of Powder Springs, GA, Joyce Fairchild and Brenda (Ken) Wiley of Marietta, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation.
The family would like to extend thanks to Sharon Parks and Hospice of Chattanooga for their special love and care during this difficult time.
