Carolyn was a wonderful mother, loving daughter and devoted wife. She was a caring and compassionate person to those friends she developed during her service at (American National) SunTrust Bank. Carolyn was with SunTrust Bank for 30 years and held a position as the Head Teller of the Hixson Branch.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her father Lonas William Rothwell
Carolyn is survived by her mother Nora Jennings Rothwell; husband Lloyd Congdon; Daughter Wendi Leigh (Bobby ) Stott; 2 sons Michael Stephen Congdon and William Bradley ( Holly) Congdon; nine grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister Barbara Rothwell ( Mike) Robinson and her faithful loving and assistant caregiver (Dog) Barney.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 15, 2013 from 4- 7 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel and on Monday from 1pm until the time of service
Funeral service for Carolyn will be conducted at 2:30 pm in the Funeral home Chapel with
Minister Gray Massey officiating
Interment to follow to Chattanooga Memorial Park
