She was the daughter of the late Philip and Maude Harris and was preceded in death by her brother, Fred Harris.
She was a member of Abba’s House.
She was the owner of Uniquely You by Martha Gentry, Inc. Martha was a member of the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce and was a past recipient of the Small Business of the Year Award. She also served as a past member of the Board of Directors for both the Hunter Art Museum and the Chattanooga Aquarium.
Survivors include her husband, Keith Shahan, two children, Gene Gentry, Jr., Rebekah (Mark) Gentry-Friel, all of Hixson, TN., three grandchildren, Kaycie (Kevin) Place-Phillips, Brittany Place, Miranda Friel, two great grandchildren, Kayla Phillips and Katie Phillips and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services “Flower Day” will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor Angie McGregor officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
