Marshall Edward Campbell, Sr., 84, of Soddy Daisy died Tuesday, June 13, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Jessie Rhea; son, Marshall E. Campbell, Jr.; grandson, Joseph Taylor Campbell; brother, Bobby Rhea; and sister, Carolyn Hedgecoth.
Marshall was a graduate of the Tennessee School for the Deaf, where he was quarterback for the football team. His greatest joy was his family; he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He loved being outside working and driving his tractor “full throttle”. He enjoyed watching sports and gameshows.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Nancy Campbell; daughters, Christy (Kyle) Stottlemire, Lisa (Randy) Topping, and Rebecca (Adam) Jones; grandchildren, Nick (Holley)Topping, Haley (Campbell) Lewis, Justin Jones, Savannah Jones, Isaac Jones, Daniel Jones, Dylan Caldwell, Hayden Caldwell, Briley Caldwell, and Rhett Stottlemire; great grandchildren, Charlie Topping, Jack Topping, and Graham Lewis.
The family will receive friends at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home from 5-8 Friday, June 16.
Funeral services will be 10:00 Saturday at the North Chapel. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
