Margaret Alice Ray, 77, of Hixson died Thursday, December 5, 2019. She was born March 4, 1942 in Chattanooga to the late Glenn and Thelma Balinger. A sister, Joyce Tatum, preceded her in death. She was retired from DuPont. Mrs. Ray was a 1960 graduate of Tyner High School. She and her husband were charter members of the River City Corvette Club.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Jerry Ray; son, Darrel Ray; daughter, Deanna Lewis and her husband Kevin; grandson, Jordan Ray Lewis; sister, Fay Moore; brother, Jimmy Balinger and his wife Mary.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 Monday, December 9 at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 10-1 Monday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
