Margaret Ellen Palmer went to be with the Lord December 12, 2024. She died peacefully in her home surrounded by her family. She was born April 10, 1946 to Virgil and Dorothy Lawson of Sparta TN. She was the second child of five. She is proceeded in death by her brother Kenneth Lee Lawson of Sparta TN. Her surviving siblings are Rita Smith of Huntington, WV, June Gardner of Blacksburg, VA and Steve Lawson of San Antonio, TX.
She is survived by her husband Jack Trail Palmer of Soddy Daisy, TN. They were married on January 15, 1966 and were looking forward to celebrating their 59th wedding anniversary this January. She has three children, Jack (Trail) Palmer, III of Soddy Daisy, TN, John (Travis) Palmer of Staunton, VA and Kari Lee Evans of Soddy Daisy, TN. She was blessed with two Granddaughters, Sadie Valzetta Palmer of Thomas, WV and Lillian Grace Evans of Soddy Daisy, TN. She was a loving wife, mother and Nana who loved nothing more than loving on her family.
She was employed by Dixie Industries in Chattanooga as a sales service supervisor for 14 years. She retired as spent her days involved with projects with her husband, traveling and doting on those she loved. She was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church and was active is various church activities.
She brought loyalty and laughter to everyone she encountered and filled the hearts of those around her with love.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 15th from 3-6 pm and on Monday the 16th from 11 am-12 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson. The funeral service will be in the funeral home chapel on Monday at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
