Louise Glass Womack

She was a God fearing woman, who cared more for others than herself. She was the sweetest soul on the face of the earth and the most wonderful Mother in the world.

Louise was a long time member of Middle Cross Baptist Church, and the Golden Needles Ladies Sewing Group. She truly enjoyed working in the yard, and especially with her flowers in the garden.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Gordon Lee Womack; her parents, George Elmer and Gertrude Gant Glass; her sister, Ruth “Tookie” Whitehead; 3 brothers, Hugh ”Red” Glass, Leonard “Pete” Glass, and George “Junior” Glass.

She is survived by her 2 daughters, Judy (Mike) Staton, and Donna (Frankie) Phy; and her son, Gordon “Bubba” (Maureen) “Mo” Womack. Also surviving are 3 granddaughters, April Womack (Jon Hale), Heather (Josh) Hanna and Claire (Jared) Holt; 2 grandsons, Jacob (Samantha) Driscoll, and Spencer Christie; 3 great grandchildren, Ashlyn Hanna, Scarlett Hanna, and Austin Hanna; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at 3:00 PM in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, with Pastor Kevin Weaver officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday May 2, 2023, at the North Chapel.

Pallbearers will be: Mickey Roberts, Billy Womack, Stanley Hale, Brian Hale, Rodger Whitehead, Marty Watson, and honorary pallbearer, Cliff Philpot.

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
