Lorraine Henderson Holterhoff Henry

Lorraine was raised in Greenville, South Carolina, was a resident of Knoxville, and Greenville before moving to Chattanooga in 1998. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and attended the Lee Anderson Sunday School class. Lorraine was an avid bridge player and was a member of the Newcomers Club of Chattanooga.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac Harmon Henderson, Sr. and Jessie Ruth Ashley Henderson Gasse and her husband Fred Gasse; first husband, Ralph Holterhoff, Jr. and a son, Ralph Holterhoff, III; and her brothers, Marvin James and Isaac Harmon Henderson, Jr.

Lorraine leaves behind her husband of nine years, Wally Newell Henry; son, John (Olive) Holterhoff of Ooltewah; daughter, Suzanne H. (Herman) Weaver of Chattanooga; sister, Ruth Louise Henderson Moorhead Brown of Greenville, SC; grandchildren, William H. (Shay) Weaver, Jr. of Alpharetta, GA, Michelle Weaver Henry of Chattanooga, Kimberly and Monica Holterhoff both of San Diego, CA; great grandchildren, Jackson Crawford Weaver and Adrian Grace Weaver both of Alpharetta and Benjamin Cole Henry of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, January 21, at the North Chapel.

Funeral services for Lorraine will follow at 12 p.m. on Saturday at the North Chapel with Rev. Chris Ehlers officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lorraine’s name to Thunderfoot Ministries at 8105 Hamilton Mill Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
