Lois H. Troxell, 84 of Chattanooga was called home on May 14, 2012. She passed peacefully in her sleep. She was born January 14, 1928 in Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L. Troxell Sr. of Chattanooga, TN. Her parents Margaret and Claude Hammons of Bridgeport, Alabama.
Lois is survived by her daughters, Deborah McJunkins, Susan Davis, and Sandra (Joe) Jolley, son, Joseph Troxell Jr. Grandchildren: Shannon (Daniel) Potter, Michael (Kim) McJunkins, Christy Wainwright, Bill Bayless; and Lynn Trewhitt. Great-Grandchildren: Kaylee and Kassidy Potter, Lucian McJunkins, Justin Wainwright, Haley Wainwright, Cierra Wainwright, Trey Bayless, Kaleb Trewhitt, Kassi Trewhitt ;and Jessica Trewhitt. Great Great-Grandchild Aslin Wainwrght; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the North Chapel.
Graveside service will be held 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at the Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to McKamey Animal Shelter.
