Kenneth Lee Newsom, Sr., 57, of Harrison passed away on Friday, August 10, 2012. He had lived most of his life in the Chattanooga area. He was retired from Wheland Foundry, currently employed at Motor Wheel. He was an avid muscle car enthusiast.
Ken was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Lee Newsom.
Survivors are two sons, Kenny Newsom II of Ringgold and Chris (Gina) Newsom of Rossville, his loving partner, Doris Johnson of Harrison, mother, Annie P. Lee of Red Bank, six grandchildren, Christopher, Kailee, Ethan, Jacob, Ivy and Alona, two brothers, Randy (Kim) Newsom of Chattanooga and Buddy (Lee) Gilmore of Colorado Springs, CO, two sisters, Phala (Myron) Richardson of Soddy Daisy and Pamela Martin of Chattanooga, several nieces and nephews.
Ken was a loving person and thoughtful and caring of others.
The family will receive friends from 3 until 8 pm Sunday at the North Chapel.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Monday, August 13, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Brandon officiating. Burial will be at Chattanooga Memorial Park.
