She was born and grew up in Chattanooga. She went to and graduated from Brainerd High School in 1971. She was a Flag Girl in the band where she met her husband Bill Robertson, who was a drummer in the band. They both went to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where she was a Little Sister of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. They both graduated in 1975 and they were married on June 21, 1975.
After graduation, she worked for the State of Tennessee as a rural planner. She then went to work for the Chattanooga Hamilton County Air Pollution Control Bureau in April 1980 where she stayed for the rest of her career. She retired in 2019 due to her medical condition.
She was a long time member of Privateer Yacht Club where she learned to love sailing and met many of her friends. She served the yacht club as Secretary and several years as the newsletter editor. She was a big fan of The University of Tennessee football, basketball, women’s basketball and Chattanooga Mocs women’s basketball.
She was preceded in death by her parents John R. McAllister and Sarah L. McAllister, and her brother Bill Forehand.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, William C. Robertson, Jr; her brother Cecil Forehand (Phyliss); her brother Roy Forehand, and many nieces and nephews.
Her family and friends would like to express special thanks to the Lung Transplant Team at Temple University Hospital, who gave us an additional 4 years with her.

A visitation with family and friends will be on Monday, October 24, 2022 at 1:00 PM. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2:00 PM in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Tom Prevost officiating.
