Katherine Hicks

She was of the Church of God faith and was retired from the Krystal Company, but continued working in her daughters business, Family Home Care for many years.

Mrs. Hicks was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Hicks, Jr.; her daughter, Debra Ann Clay; her siblings, Thelma Morgan, Herbert Jones, and Ruth Manning; and her parents, James and Jessie Jones, Sr.

Survivors include her son, Edward L. Denham, Sr., Chattanooga; her grandchildren, Melinda Evans, Hixson; Eddie Denham (April), Ooltewah; Jim Denham (Rhonda), Ooltewah; Ashley Clay, Harrison; Taylor Clay, Ooltewah; great grandchildren, Kaylia Evans, Hixson; Peyton Denham, Ooltewah; T.J. Evans, Hixson; Logan Parker Brown, Harrison. She is also survived by her brother, James (Bud) Jones, Jr., Ft. Olgethorpe, GA; and sister, Pat Jones Wilson, Chattanooga; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at Consulate Health Care and Amedysis Hospice Services.

The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday and 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. Monday at the North Chapel.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 5, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with the Rev. Kent Kressenberg officiating.
