She was preceded in death by her husband, Robin Earl Sterchi, her parents, John and Emma Reid, four brothers, Paul, Claude, Quintus and Woodrow Reid, and a son-in-law, Larry Malone.
She is survived by three children, Robbie Bennett of Lawrenceville, GA., Bette Malone and William Sterchi (Marilyn) both of Harrison, TN; four grandchildren, Don Bennett, China, Elizabeth Lawless (John), Grayson, GA., Emily Lewis (Steve), Chattanooga, Sarah Boland (Jeff), Grayson, GA.; four great grandchildren.
Mrs. Sterchi and her husband, Robin, were among the charter members of St. John United Methodist Church. She was also a founding member of the Murray Hills Garden Club. Juanita was an active and beloved member of the Tennessee Water Color Society. At the age of 65, she fulfilled her desire to become an artist by taking water color painting lessons at the Hunter Art Gallery. Her beautiful floral paintings grace many homes in the Chattanooga area.
The family wishes to express thanks and deep appreciation to her caregiver, Earline Hudgins. The family also would like to thank NHC Healthcare and Hospice of Chattanooga for their kind and compassionate care.
The family will receive friends from 12 (noon) to 2 pm on Thursday at St. John United Methodist Church.
Services for Juanita will follow at 2 pm on Thursday at the church with Rev. Sherry Boles officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
