Johnny Del Valle, age 70, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2019.
Johnny was born in Clayton, New Mexico and was preceded in death by his parents, Romolo and Caroline Del Valle. He was a graduate of Clayton High School. He was a longtime resident of the Chattanooga area and has worked with Marshall Mize Ford for over 20 years. He was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church. Johnny loved baseball, coaching his summer team the Chattanooga Stars. Johnny always had the time to listen and talk to his players, he wanted baseball to make a difference in each one of their lives.
He was also preceded in death by his brothers, George, Joe, Andy and JV Ulibarri; sister, Joann Sandoval.
Johnny is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Sandra; children, Natalie Bassham, Chris (Andrea) Del Valle, Tonya (Jeff) Sarratt; Julius Del Valle, Lucas Del Valle, Jena (Wilford) Blowe, Jr., Casey (Susie) Fleser and Roxanne (Tomas) Duenas; 12 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; sisters, Patsy (Ralph) Padilla, Lupe Montoya and Jane (Pete) Valdez.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 6 pm on Sunday, January 5, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home and 12 (noon) to 1 pm on Monday, at Mount Carmel Baptist Church, 86 US-127, Signal Mountain, TN 37377.
A Celebration of Johnny’s Life will follow at 1 pm on Monday at Mount Carmel Baptist Church with his Pastor Rocky Bradford officiating. Burial will be in Pickett Cemetery, Whitwell, TN.
